Samantha Ting

Principal Attorney

Samantha Ting is a skilled and relentless advocate dedicated to protecting her clients’ rights and ensuring their voices are heard. She approaches every case with focus, precision, and an unwavering commitment to the people she represents. Known for her responsiveness and transparency, Ms. Ting prioritizes keeping her clients and their families informed at every stage of the process, providing clarity and confidence during often overwhelming circumstances.

Ms. Ting earned her Bachelor of Science from California State University, Sacramento, before obtaining her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Davis School of Law.

Since 2022, she has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at UC Davis, where she
teaches trial and courtroom advocacy as well as essential skills such as client
counseling, negotiation, and public speaking. Her work in the classroom reflects her broader commitment to excellence in advocacy and to developing the next generation of attorneys.

In her practice, Ms. Ting represents clients across a broad spectrum of matters,
including criminal defense, post-conviction relief, mental health advocacy, and civil rights litigation. She has defended hundreds of clients facing charges ranging from misdemeanors such as DUIs and resisting arrest to serious and violent felonies, including homicides. Through strategic, creative, and highly tailored litigation, she has successfully prevented life sentences for many of her clients and secured meaningful outcomes in even the most complex cases.

Beyond trial-level advocacy, Ms. Ting is deeply committed to pursuing justice at every stage of the legal process. She is unafraid to challenge wrongful convictions and unlawful sentences, and advocates for alternatives to incarceration through mental health diversion. In her civil rights practice, she fearlessly holds government actors accountable when constitutional violations occur, ensuring that misconduct does not go unchecked.

A Sacramento native, Ms. Ting brings valuable insight into the local legal landscape, including familiarity with judges, prosecutors, and regional law enforcement practices.

Gina Teddington

Of Counsel

Attorney Gina Teddington is a Sacramento native who is driven by a belief in justice that restores balance, protects rights, and creates a path forward. Known for her composure in the courtroom and precision in legal strategy, she brings both skill and empathy to every client she represents.
 
After earning her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from California State University, Fullerton, and her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in San Diego, Gina returned home to begin her legal career as an intern with the Sacramento County Public Defender’s Office. She later served with the Placer County Public Defender’s Office before returning to Sacramento County, where she handled a wide range of cases and developed a reputation for her preparation, poise, and ability to deliver results in both misdemeanor and felony trials.
 
Gina’s work has led to published appellate opinions and favorable case outcomes that have contributed to shaping California law. Her background in trial advocacy and appellate strategy gives her a rare ability to see cases from every angle, identifying key issues, correcting legal errors, and pursuing relief where others might see finality. Beyond criminal defense and post-conviction work, she has also achieved six-figure settlements in civil and personal injury cases, earning recognition for her negotiation
skill and results-driven approach.

Mikaela Baker

Legal Assistant

Mikaela Baker is a dedicated and detail-oriented legal assistant who brings both compassion and precision to her work with clients. A Sacramento native, Mikaela has a strong connection to the local community and is deeply committed to supporting individuals navigating the legal system.

She is currently a diligent student at California State University, Sacramento, and will soon begin law school as she continues to pursue her goal of advocating for others. Mikaela’s academic focus, combined with her hands-on experience, has given her a strong foundation in legal processes and procedures. Known for her organization and thoroughness, Mikaela plays a key role in ensuring that cases are handled efficiently and with care. She is knowledgeable about all stages of the legal process and works closely with clients to help them feel informed, supported, and at ease.

Mikaela’s compassionate and empathetic approach allows her to connect meaningfully with clients during what are often difficult and stressful times. She is passionate about protecting clients’ rights and is committed to contributing to outcomes that make a real difference in their lives.
